A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to shoot the Despot, Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire, Killer Mike, and El P at Irving Plaza. Now, just to give you a little history, my flat mate in Atlanta (1997 - 2000) co-produced 4 songs on Killer Mike's first album; so when I found out that Mike was going to be in NY I put in a few calls to see what was good with going to the show. Well, I ended up backstage, chilled with Mike, saw my homie from ATL, got some dope photos of El P and the other artists on the bill and all in all I had a great time. You have to love the green room. To be honest, it was so dope seeing the two worlds of music that both had a heavy influence on me collide (Atlanta trap/hardore rap and Indie NY hip hop).. it turns out, we are all more alike than different.. great show guys. PEACE
